Portland City Council has unanimously voted to rename 39th Ave. to "Cesar Chavez". No surprise there, although they did extend their pretense of public involvement for a longer period of time than usual.
And while it appears that the recall petition drive for "mayor" SamAdumbs has been accepted so that signatures can now be collected, SamAdumbs itself has followed its usual paradigm - getting out of Dodge now that the heat's starting to grow. SamAdumbs is taking a little junket to Taiwan.

Has anybody asked just what goods Adams proposes to export? What kinds of high-tech products does Portland produce that the Taiwanese might be interested in? (I say "Portland" because that's his area of responsibility. The rest of the state is up to the governor. Not that that should make anyboidy feel any better.)
