This was a popular refrain among Leftists: President Bush plunged the nation into a war that was all about oil, and enriching his fat-cat pals. It became a constant background drone, though it never actually got legs (because it was a stupid claim).
Where are the strident voices of the Leftists now? It has emerged that the repatriation of the Lockerbie bomber was clearly a blood for oil trade. Where is the outrage? Why isn't Pelosi all over this? Why is our loony local blogger from Lewis and Clark not venting hysterically, with his panties in a twist? Oh, right - it has nothing to do with Sarah Palin. Well then, nevermind.
