The car wreck was bad, but it appears that what was worse was French government-run "health care". The USA employs what is known as "scoop and run". The U.S. system is grounded in studies that show a trauma victim's best chance for survival is reaching the operating room within 10 minutes.
By contrast, the French practice what is known as "stay and play". Therefore, Diana didn't actually arrive at a hospital until one hour and forty-five minutes after the crash. She was repeatedly "stabilized" in an ambulance, rather than receiving what is standard in American responses: rapid transit to a nearby hospital.
This is what Democrats want to bring to America. The Europeans, after all, are so much smarter. They also die needlessly early, but that's not an issue the Dems want to discuss.

That's a feature, not a bug.

Surely, the health system of a country being State Run, has absolutely no bearing on whether or not a "stay and play" or "scoop and run" system is adopted. West Europeans do live longer than Americans, and Americans are twice as likely to die in an accident.
