A week or so after announcing a run for the job of Oregon governor, Bill Sizemore and his wife have been indicted for criminal tax evasion. What is it with this guy, anyway? Heck, they could have taken advantage of the recently-ended tax amnesty program, but they couldn't be bothered even with that. Bill's just a pig for attention. The carpet salesman had some good points a few years ago, but he ran off track long ago.
The best thing this guy can do for the state is to sit down and shut up. He's got no credibility in any quarter of the state.
Blagovich at least had some skills in the area of cronyism; Sizemore's inept in every respect.

Hard to tell if he's really done shady stuff financially, or if he's in a legal bind the way he says it where if he files before they determine if his income is income then he's filing falsely, and if he doesn't file but simply sends a check, he's guilty of not filing. Although, according to him the "not filing" penalty is a lot less than filing falsely.
I firmly believe that he's facing lots of persecution from the public employee and teachers' unions, and perhaps he has been caught in a Catch 22, rather than been caught fudging his finances.
The problem is... it doesn't matter. Either he's too crippled by being too much of an enemy to the strongest organizing force in the state, or he's proved himself an incompetent political strategist by allowing himself to be put in this position. So, either he's a guy who can't get elected, or he's a guy who shouldn't be elected because he can't operate in that arena effectively.
In any case, he's not the guy for governor, that's for sure.

Eddie, that's my view: it doesn't matter what he's done (or not done). What matters is that he's unelectable and he should know that. Attempting to run for governor under the circumstances that prevail in his case amounts to uncercutting his supposed affiliation in favor of the very folks that he claims are bedeviling him.
