"Much as the Nazis had the goal of ethnic cleansing in mind..."

Funny you should mention that.

"While in Baghdad, Syria al-Husseini [Muhammed Amin al-Husseini] aided the pro-Nazi revolt of 1941. He then spent the rest of World War II as Hitler's special guest in Berlin, advocating the extermination of Jews in radio broadcasts back to the Middle East and recruiting Balkan Muslims for infamous SS "mountain divisions" that tried to wipe out Jewish communities throughout the region."

The Muslims of the time were quite chummy with the Nazis, as they had the same goals in mind - probably not guessing that Hitler would eventually put them on his "little list", not being quite Aryan enough.

Excellent addition! I imagine that it never occurred to them that after they accomplished his goals, they would become expendable.

Thanks for adding to my knowledge base. The question that comes to mind is whether Hitler could have succeeded in an effort to exterminate the Muslims - or if the Muslims would have been successful against the Nazis.
