The Zero actually has a decent article on open-source software development and Portland's role in that little wave. The story's built around puppet labs, which has built a devoted client base including Twitter, Google, and the New York Stock Exchange. Not bad for a six-year-old open source project. The story's interesting, but the comments are really entertaining.
