The most irrelevant former President of the USA, Jimmuh Cahtah, is hanging in North Korea with a couple of other losers, flapping his gums about how the USA is "witholding food" from the North Koreans, and this amounts to a "human rights violation".
Jimmuh is a living example of the old adage that there is no cure for stupidity.
Yo, Jimmuh! Maybe if their dictator wasn't so into weapons, he could feed his own damn people. Ever think of that? It's a novel concept, yeah, but it works.
Imagine how well-fed that country could be, if their dictator chose to give his people around $130 for seeds and supplies. That could easily translate into $2431 worth of food, or a return on investment of well north of 800%. People would probably start trading or selling excess production.
Of course, you just can't have that sort of thing going on. Better to plow what little money the country has into weapons, eh?
All the better when you have fools like Jimmuh to cry on your behalf. And he truly believes that he's some sort of gifted statesman.
Update: In a pants-on-fire moment, the White House press office today denied anyone there had issued threats to remove Carla Marinucci and possibly other Hearst reporters from the press pool covering the President in the Bay Area.
Chronicle editor Ward Bushee called the press office on its fib:
Sadly, we expected the White House to respond in this manner based on our experiences yesterday. It is not a truthful response. It follows a day of off-the-record exchanges with key people in the White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all.
The Chronicle's report is accurate.
Barry's administration can't get anything straight. It seems to be an uniquel Democratic trait: they're always for something before they're against it, but on third thought....
Harry Alford, president and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, blasted President Obama's anti-business administration. Alford, a 2008 Obama supporter, labeled the administration "Marxist" and "fanatical." "They might as well put on the brown shirts and swastikas," he said.
Clearly, Alford is a racist.
Equally clearly, Alford may have been suckered by Obama the last time around, but it isn't going to happen in the next election.
Expensive election porn. We're supposed to tax ourselves to the tune of 3/4 of a billion dollars because Portland Public Schools has never done any significant facility maintenance; shuffling our $12,000 per student, per year instead into administration, pay, and benefits - all of which go to the so-called "adults", rather than to the students. And as noted previously, barely half of those students actually graduate.
They haven't been doing their job, and the record clearly demonstrates that. They aren't educating kids; not when 47% of them aren't graduating.
They aren't doing basic maintenance of facilities.
Instead, they complain that the facilities are falling apart because they're 65 years old.
Sorry. I lived in a place that was built in 1848.
Do the basic maintenance, like we've paid you to do, and the buildings will last a long, long time.
PPS won't get an extra dime, if voters actually consider where the district has been shoving the money.
That's the mantra, according to Portland’s incoming transportation chief, Tom Miller. He gets $150 grand a year, plus benefits, paid by you. And he seems to view his new job as a two-fold mission: increase density, and increase congestion.
Well, as dense as he and his good buddy Sammy the mayor of Portland are, it seems unlikely that he'll do much to accomplish the former. But he's in a great position to accomplish the latter.
At least he's up-front about his hatred of jobs and freight. This is the first time in memory that a Portland bureaucrat has actually come right out and stated the game-plan.
The "Humane Society of the United States" (HSUS), which does nothing much but fund-raising for animal "Rights", has jumped into bed with Petey Courtney and Earl "The Pearl" Blumenauer. Or vice-versa.
In any case, the Oregon Democrats are doing what they can to lend credibility to an organization with ties to eco-terrorism. In so doing, they are undermining Oregon's agricultural base, and relying entirely upon AR propaganda rather than sound agricultural science.
As is so often the case with Leftists, it all boils down to "feelings". Obviously, if you wouldn't want to be confined in a small space, then other animals, such as chickens, must share those feelings. Neither Bow-Tie nor Petey have any experience whatsoever in agricultural practices, but it doesn't matter. They've swallowed the HSUS line, along with the bait and the sinker, and the eco-terrorist group is just reeling them in.
We really need to get some adults, with actual thought-processing skills, into office to replace the clowns.
