You be hard-core, Max. I do have som sympathy for that argument.

Mecca and Medina, targets 1A and 1B.

Let's drop the big one, see what happens.
They don't like us any way.
No matter what we say.
Let's drop the big one, pulverize 'em.
The Randy Newman approach.

Mecca's a good start; sure to get 'em riled up and out in the streets hollering "death to" - making them easy targets for the next drop.

I'm just tired of their crap. There's no justification for sending our folks over to those places to get blown up or their heads sawn off - we have the capability to neutralize the peace-loving poppy growers without risk to any of our people, and it's past time to deploy that capability.

Turning the place to glass is an option, but it's too destructive. Spare the infrastructure; just get rid of the nutballs.

In WWII, we carpet-bombed Dresden and a host of other targets, with substantial civilian casualties and incredible infrastructure demolition. We can spare the infrastructure today, and while civilians would die, it's time to face the facts: their "culture" breeds wholesale violence.

Not one of the 911 passengers was a combatant. Nobody in the twin towers was a combatant. Daniel Pearl was not a combatant. You can't "negotiate" with them, and you can't stop them by conventional means.

The only way to stop them is to eradicate them, and the best way to accomplish that is with neutron bombs.

I don't think there's a lot of infrastructure to worry about - at least,, not in Afghanistan or Pakistan.

I do believe you're right about not being able to stop them except with "extreme prejudice".

No point in breaking what little is there. I favor neutron bombs because they cause little physical damage while effectively sterilizing the area.
