Hot on the heels of our own little UO "scientist's" claim that "deniers" of anthropogenic global warming are ill and should be "treated" - and her claim that denial is on a par with slavery, who should come out of the weeds again but James Hansen, who is set next week to call for a universal tax on all carbon emissions.
Averting the worst consequences of human-induced climate change is a "great moral issue" on a par with slavery, according to the leading Nasa climate scientist Prof Jim Hansen.
Of course, back in 2009, the acclaimed fear-monger stated: Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama's first administration, he added.
Given Hansen's extreme concern, one wonders how he plans to get to Edinburgh, next week. Teleportation, perhaps?
