You have to wonder what Barky was thinking when he played the executive privilege card, as in so doing, he's implicated himself in the stinkeroo known as "fast and furious". How bad is it?
When the Carnie got up there and tried to spin it for the White House press corps, claiming that "This is entirely about principle . . .", that was as far as he was able to get before the press started laughing.
It's more than a little disingenuous to claim that the investigation is just something "for Republicans to politicize" when the investigation has been ongoing for over a year, and Eric Holder's been stonewalling every step of the way.Left calls Fast & Furious just politics : Brian Terry could not be reached for comment . It wasn't an election year when this got started; had Holder simply complied, it would have been completed months ago. Instead, faced with a contempt of Congress vote, he tried to play the same old game - and when that didn't work, he scurried off to Barky for help.
Even the Lefties are ticked off; over at Daily Kos, of all places, an article slamming Barky went up early yesterday morning, and other Leftie sites have suddenly had posts go up criticizing Barky as well. At this rate, his campaign's "tattle-tale" sites could implode.
Makes you wonder what Eric has on Barky, as Barky's thrown a lot of folks under the bus with far less justification.
