Implausible as it seems, Barky's on the cover of Newsweek, and somebody forgot to Photoshop in his halo. In a bizarre turn of events, they aren't flattering and fawning over him - they come right out and say that it's time for him to go. This is bound to send the folks over at the Ministry of Truth into a major snit-fit, and someone's undoubtedly going to end up paying for this heresy.
It'll be interesting to see whether the Ministry can contain this as a one-off - an aberration - or whether it signals an opening of the floodgates. Certainly, there have been signs of relationship issues between the Messiah and his media choir in recent days. Tingles couldn't land an interview with Barky; that honor went to Entertainment Tonight, and there have been at least a couple of instances in which newsfolks have actually packed away the softballs and pressed Gibbsey and other mouthpieces for real answers.
Taken together, some ominous clouds seem to be building on the horizon before Team Barky.
