Friday, a 65-year-old woman pushing a guy in a wheelchair managed to get hit by one of those trains that runs down the street. She was killed; he was thrown clear and survived. The next evening, 11 were hurt, three hospitalized, following an incident in which one of the cool street trains ran into the back of a semi hauling a load of almonds.
Nuts were loose in the streets; being that it was Saramento, however, nobody paid much attention - although a few initially approached, mistaking them for legislators.
