Despite Barky's opposition, work on the Keystone pipeline continues apace. Although it might slow things down a bit, in the long run it appears reasonable to cap the ends of each pipe segment and fill it with fluid under high pressure before placing it into the line. Such practices would go far toward ensuring that leaks which may damage our precious environment do not occur.
