This is an alert from the Portland Storm Center. Snowflakes have been observed falling in varying densities in the upper elevations. Portland broadcast media's STORM-TEAM representatives are assembling at the Sylvan Hill freeway overpass, preparing to demonstrate just how slippery the flakes can be. Please be aware that we are not at this time discussing Oregon politicians; it is important to remember that these slippery flakes are frozen water droplets which may pose a potential hazard to pedestrians and reporters.
Most broadcasters are expected to offer continuing coverage of this potential event, and citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution if venturing outdoors.
