As part of his fight against obesity, NYC Nanny Bloomberg banned large soft drinks. And try as you might, you can't stop hearing about Mooch Obama's war on childhood obesity: eat right, exercise, yadda yadda. From the look of things, Mooch isn't big on taking her own advice. But that's only from the look of things, because as it happens, scientists now claim that obesity isn't genetic, nor does it have anything much to do with what you eat and drink, nor even how much time you put in at the gym:
Obesity in human beings could be caused by bacterial infection rather than eating too much, exercising too little or genetics, according to a groundbreaking study that could have profound implications for public health systems, the pharmaceutical industry and food manufacturers.
It may also have profound implications for politicians who insist on poking their beaks into your freedoms. Look for Nanny, Mooch, and others to be listed as defendants in class-action lawsuits.
