Bitter cold has even frozen the sea in Laizhou Bay on the coast of Shandong province in the east, stranding nearly 1,000 ships, the China Daily newspaper reported.
It's also reported that some population centers in Russia are being evacuated due to extreme cold.
If only we'd known then what we know now: there would have been no need for Reagan's "Star Wars" program against the soviets; all we needed to do was drive our cars more, crank up that old Man-Made Global Warming, and give an entirely new meaning to the term, "Cold War".
