The Association of Teacher Educators is holding this years' annual shindig in Atlanta. These are the folks who are teaching your children:
The Virginia-based Association of Teacher Educators describes itself as a “membership organization devoted solely to the improvement of teacher education both for school-based and post secondary teacher educators.”
“ATE members represent over 650 colleges and universities, 500 major school systems, and the majority of the state departments of education.
Unsurprisingly, they have extremely rigorous standards; particularly in regard to their selection for the prestigious task of serving as keynote speaker at their annual get-together. Naturally, their keynoter this year will be none other than noted domestic terrorist and Perfesser of Vegetation at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Bill Ayers.
Unfortunately, his prominent student and all-around best friend forever, having now declared war on the USA, will likely be a bit too preoccupied to attend the festivities and hear his mentor speak. No worries; an old warrior like Billy will certainly understand. Stoking class warfare takes time and effort.
