The third California city to declare bankruptcy in the past year, San Bernardino, provides an informative look at the results of Democrat rule, and hints strongly at the Obama vision for America. Having no money, the city stopped payments to CalPERS, and public employees are very perturbed by that. Due to the bankruptcy proceedings, nobody can sue for money owed, but the public employee unions plan to request that the stay be lifted. That seems unlikely to happen, as doing so would open the door to other creditors as well.
What the city now faces will likely soon be coming to wider parts of America: Leftist-oriented unions fighting among themselves over any scraps they might be able to wrench from the corpse.
