Jesse Jackson, professional race-baiter and father of disgraced Chicago Democratic former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., is in Venezuala to bid farewell to his old friend, the now room-temperature Hugo Chavez.
Meanwhile, apparently ignorant of the country's dire financial condition, Nanny Pelosi has stepped up to demand an increase in the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour; exceeding those of the two states with the highest minimum wages in the country - Oregon and Washington. Such a move should exert a bracing impact upon unemployment - presently, over 89 million across the country are unemployed - as well as upon prices of everything from food to furniture.
Not to be outdone in the redistribution department, Oregon Rep. Petey DeFazio has teamed up with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in yet another "Tax the Rich" scheme; suggesting (once again) that it's time for the Rich to "pay their fair share" into So-So Security. According to Petey, people are increasingly dependent upon So-So Security because they haven't been able to save enough money. The obvious solution, then, is to take more money from taxpayers.
The logic is unassailable.
