NOAA blames global cooling on man-made global warming, but their own report yields an entirely different conclusion:
When one carefully reads the report, we find that the NOAA findings actually do confirm precisely what the skeptics have been claiming all along:
1. The Earth has stopped warming.
2. The climate models exaggerated future warming [caused by] CO2 climate sensitivity is much lower than we first thought.
Well, alrighty then. And in other largely unreported news from the world of Science, a previously unknown carnivorous (actually, omnivorous) mammal has been discovered in South America. There appear to be thousands of them, and though small, they aren't exactly tiny; they weigh in at around two pounds apiece.
His team’s work, also published today in the journalZooKeys, represents the first discovery of a new carnivorous mammal species in the American continents in more than three decades.
As a matter of fact, there appear to be as many as four separate subspecies of the critters - which speaks not only to the numbers, but also to the range, length of time in existence, and adaptive changes that have occured; resulting in the divergence. This is bound to really upset the denizens feeding the Twitter hashtag #ScienceSaysSo, because they firmly believe that we know all there is to know - whether it be planetary climate change or anything else.
Yet none of them knew that thes ubiquitous critters existed.
“The discovery of the olinguito shows us that the world is not yet completely explored, its most basic secrets not yet revealed.”
