It's important to get some of Obamacare up and running quickly (though certain elements have been deferred - for example, the "caps" on out-of-pocket expenses, which were supposed to be set at $6,000. And of course, Congress and their staffs get bailouts. And a boatload of exemptions, most of them in Nanny Pelosi's district, have been granted). But, as President OBumbler would say, "See, there's a lot of complexity involved in navigating the new rules, and so HHS is going to hire a bunch of folks to help you out". But it has to be done fast, as in quick and dirty:
“Because of time constraints, HHS [is] cutting back on the requirement to become a navigator, meaning they're not going to be doing background checks. They're not going to be fingerprinting these people,” said Bondi in an interview with Fox.
“And it's more than navigators. It's people that assist the navigators. Now, these navigators will have our consumers throughout the country's most personal and private information: tax return information, Social Security information. And our biggest fear, of course, is identity theft.”
So, who's going to be liable if and when identity theft occurs?
Well, in the words of that great Lyin' of the Senate, Teddy Kennedy: "We'll drive off that bridge when we come to it, Mary Jo."
Don't you feel better already?
