Did you happen to notice the mission patch for the recent launch of the latest batch of spy satellites by the USA? It looks like the creation of a bunch of kids. And to add to the childlike atmosphere, they actually live-tweeted the launch. They come off like kids with too much self-esteem. Really creepy kids with too much self-esteem.
The NSA's simultaneously out of control (and obviously arrogantly so) and Just Plain Stupid, as revelations about agency staff spying on boyfriends, girlfriends, spouses, and so on makes abundantly clear. "Nothing is beyond our reach"? Really? Is that a threat? Or is it just juvenile posturing? It's hard to say, but in neither case does it inspire a great deal of confidence in this administration.
