The Port of Porkland is trying to rally support for the stupid "Columbia River Crossing" light-rail bridge that nobody wants.
The Legislature's approval for the project has expired, and Gov. John Kitzhaber is hoping lawmakers will revive the CRC in the upcoming February legislative session.
So the Port's trying to get top business lobbyists to head down to Salem with some talking points, and their message is that the bridge is somehow "essential" for the whole state and it needs to be built now. Baloney. It's just what we don't need.
Clark County doesn't want Porkland's stinking light rail, as they've made clear time after time. Come to people with a bride without light rail, and you'll see support. But gov. Retread insists: "No light rail, no bridge. No joke." Well, okay then, "cowboy" - you win; No bridge.
