While you and I can look forward to another hosing next year as our mandatory health insurance premiums rise, along with co-pays and other incidentals, most Oregon state employees will see cost reductions. What a surprise.
Most Oregon state workers will pay less for their insurance, have many more options for coverage and could even contribute less to their monthly premiums in 2015.
Better yet, if they stay with their current providers, rates for next year will be either the same as this year's or lower. And unlike the rest of us, state workers will only have to contribute between 3% and 5% toward the cost of their monthly premiums.
But then, you rather expected things to turn out about like this, didn't you?
