Documents show Redflex may have used a falsely sworn document to convict motorists with speed camera tickets
An interesting state of affairs, as in addition to the issue of proper calibration of equipment, a large contractor who runs many photo-radar/red-light camera systems for municipalities may have even more shortcomings. These systems are wholly abusive and frequently unreliable. I once got tagged for doing 70 in a 35 zone. Problem: the system was set up next door to my home, and I was turning into the driveway. As I'm not a professional stunt-driver, it seemed pretty unlikely. Case dismissed.
Yet I wonder now if it should not have been continued, in order to hold the cop-contractor accountable.
Hindsight. Always 20-20.
