If Fish has to go, what can I say? Tell me why is it so hard to see if he's really a man or just a tree? City Council needs to get wise, but they're living in an AlGore paradise.
Make it green no matter what the cost; if the businesses run, well what's the loss?
Two Portland City Council members come up for re-election in May; Nick Fish and Dan Saltzman - both of whom voted to divert $20 million in sewer funds toward (recall-facing) pervy "mayor" Sam Adams' dream of ensuring that at least 25% of all trips in the Portland area are made by bicycle.
The Portland Utility Review Board has unanimously rejected the unanimous decision by Portland City Council to divert the funds, and they weren't exactly low-key about it. They're looking at potentially raising rates (yet again) in a community that already pays one of the highest rates for water/sewer in the entire USA, so it's understandable that they'd be amazed by the temerity of the PCC, as they literally stole $20 million from ratepayers in order to buy more bicycle toys. It's hard to justify yet another 7% rate increase when the payers see millions diverted from infrastructure to pet projects.

Make the people ride some bikes; they're living in an AlGore paradise.
