If you've been following any of the Mann-Made Global Warming stuff, then you know all about the "climategate" issue in which emails exchanged among "scientists" involved in the U.N. IPCC report indicated rather conclusively that data had been falsified, hidden, and otherwise manipulated in order to promote a specific agenda. Michael Mann, inventor of the infamous (and discredited) "hockey-stick" graph, is currently under investigation for misuse of public funds.
Another legendary player in advancing the religion of warmism has been Jimmy Hansen, a NASA bureaucrat who, as reported in a 1971 Washington Post scare piece entitled "U.S. Scientist Sees New Ice Age Coming" fretted that burning fossil fuels discharges particles into the atmosphere that reflect the sun's rays back into space. Emissions over 5–10 years supposedly "could be sufficient to trigger an ice age." Lately, of course, Jimmy's been propping up AlGore and the IPCC with claims of global warming caused by the very activities that he claimed would freeze the planet.
Well, it turns out that for some three years, NASA has been ignoring Freedom of Information Act demands for data, and now they're being hauled into court. This is why we have a provision for separation of church and state: the combination of religion and politics was recognized as inordinately dangerous to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. There has never existed one country in which theocracy took hold that did not also mercilessly exterminate basic human rights. Yet a division of NASA, and in particular prophet Jimmy, appear intent upon ensuring - to the greatest extent possible - the integration of the religion of warmism and state politics.
Of course, the condescending Frenchman, John Kerry, has all the answers. His climate bill, disingenuously called the American Power Act, is something that he claims as a "national security imperative".
Oh, yeah. This is the same crowd that argued that they had to pass their health care bill so that you could find out what's in it. Any time these clowns claim something's important, it's time to kick back and wait.
"At a time when widespread polling data suggests that a majority of the U.S. populace no longer trusts the federal government, a Pew Research Center report has found that the vast majority of the federal government doesn't trust the U.S. populace all that much either," the Onion reported last week:
"All the vitriol and partisan bickering in Congress has caused most Americans to form negative opinions of the U.S. government," Pew researcher Amy Ratner said. "However, over the same time period, the government has likewise grown wary of U.S. citizens, largely due to their utter lack of foresight, laziness, and overall incompetence."
They nailed it: that's exactly what BO, Nanny, Hairy, and Johnny think of you. You're stupid, and they know better. You need to sit down, shut up, and let them work their magic.
