A person in Britain has been diagnosed with a lethal strain of E.coli, believed to originate in organic cucumbers.
The bacteria has killed nine people in Germany, with almost 300 people being admitted to hospital. Cases have also been reported in Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
This is just silly fear-mongering. Everybody knows that eating meat is bad, while eating organic salads is good. It reduces your "carbon footprint", and you're helping to Save The Planet™. Stories like this are really irresponsible, and they have no place in our media.
People who publish stuff like this should be shot, because stories like this may drive consumers away from healthy, organic vegetables, and may even drive consumption of meat.
Really, if you stop and think about it, having people die from eating organic vegetables isn't such a bad thing - think of the carbon savings alone!
