As you may know, there was sort of a debate among some Republican presidential aspirants yesterday. It was interesting on a number of levels. Mitt Romney appears to believe that the primary is merely a formality and that he will be the default Republican candidate. Ms. Bachmann turned in a stellar performance, as did Newt. But Newt's already shot himself, and Bachmann seems unprepared to capitalize upon her strengths. Pawlenty was out to lunch, and the Godfather wasn't grilling up the goods. Oddly, Ron Paul garnered the most consistently warm response.
