Don't know what it was, but most of yesterday involved a high miserability index: in a matter of minutes, my body temp would scoot between 98.5 and 101 - digital thermometer showed that when sweat started pouring off my head, I was at around 101. 10 or so minutes later, sweat stopped, chill set in, - 98.5. Back and forth, up and down...went that way for a day and a half. Seems to have slowed down finally; don't recall ever having run into something like it. I know it wasn't the onion rings, as I never got around to experimenting with that little recipe. Whatever it was, I recommend against it.
