Pumpkin carving contest, children’s costume parade and prizes to celebrate curbside collection service changes starting Halloween week

Kids get the chance to carve their own pumpkins and practice the art of composting by scooping the seeds straight into a Portland Composts! kitchen pail.
Information about curbside food composting and changes to the City’s curbside collection service will be available at the Include the Food information table during the event.
If you want to compost and recycle, then by all means, do so. Behavioral engineering through governmental edict, however, is simply unconscionable.
