Their latest thing is that killer whales are deserving of human Rights under the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution. The suit, which PETA says it will file Wednesday in U.S. District Court in San Diego, hinges on the fact that the 13th Amendment, while prohibiting slavery and involuntary servitude, does not specify that only humans can be victims. Therefore, according to them - and they've spent a year and a half (and God knows how much in "donations") to prepare this "case" - killer whales who are kept and who perform at Sea World are slaves.
This one ought to fast-track to Davey Jones' Locker.
