Spike Lee's decided to issue an apology for using Twitter to broadcast the address of George Zimmerman - who, as everybody knows, is a racist pig white guy who fatally shot a poor, unarmed little black teenager who was as pure as wind-driven snow. Unfortunately, Spike sent out the wrong address, and the elderly couple who lived there have taken refuge in a hotel amid myriad death threats and other atrocities intended to bring "justice" for the poor, unarmed little black teenager who was as pure as the wind-driven snow.
The elderly couple also lawyered up, which by pure coincidence preceeded Spike's sudden and heartfelt apology.
A sneering teenager, nicknamed 'Savage', was today found guilty in the shooting deaths of two British tourists after days of damning evidence.
Jesse and Al and Spike and all the others are strangely quiet in regard to this Florida case. Oh, right: the tourists were white boys; the shooter's black. No problem, then. Of course, Barry hasn't weighed in yet....
State Sen. Jackie Dingfelder, D-Portland, said she and perhaps a dozen other legislators will ask the Democratic governor to reject exchanging a state-owned water right.
"It allows a private multinational corporation to use a public resource for the economically and environmentally unsustainable practice of bottled water," said Dingfelder, chairwoman of the Senate's natural resources and environment committee.
Jackie Dingbat's been really vocal about private multinational corporations, which is why she's been so adamant in opposing Nike, Intel, Siltronic, Adidas, and Columbia Sportswear. Oh, wait...she hasn't been. Intel and Siltronic use a lot of water - more than Nestle proposes to take, but that's not her problem. No, she just hates Nestle - much as Portland mayor Sham Adumbs hates Wal-Mart. And both politicians will do whatever it takes to disrupt (or better, eliminate) businesses that they, personally, dislike.
Their feelings are way more important than jobs.
And if you support Sierra Club, PSR, or similar organizations, you're not part of a solution - you're part of the problem.
Really, it's the least she can do if she insists on screwing candidates and voters in order to help her fellow Democratics. The only person who seems to believe that she did the right thing by suddenly shifting an election from May to November is, well, Kate. The lawyers disagree. She's incompetent, a partisan hack, or both.
You can always tell the rabid, drooling Lefties: they're the ones driving around with a ton of stickers on the back of their environmentally-conscious minivans. There were 35 different stickers on the back of one over in Raleigh Hills, this afternoon; that lady must be going for a record.
Justice Anthony Kennedy is the swing jurist on the Supreme Court, and he's left liberals aghast over his aggressive questioning of the government's positions on Obamacare. You could say he's come out swinging, and that's a bit out of character for him. Increasingly, it does look as though a 5/4 decision dumping Obamacare is in the works, but it's not going to be entirely based in wonkish legalities; it's also got a political component, and Barry tripped the wire to this particular mine all by himself, when two years ago during his State of the Union speech, he took a step unprecedented in American history: he berated the US Supreme Court before a worldwide audience because he didn't like their campaign finance law decision.
And the author of that decision was none other than Justice Anthony Kennedy.
Ruth Ginsburg, being a Constitution hater who has recently been quoted in the media as advising against using our Constitution as a model, is certain to decide in favor of upholding Obamacare; as a good little Socialist, she doesn't see a need to do anything more than perhaps eliminate the individual mandate - she stated yesterday that the decision shouldn't be a "wrecking operation, but a salvage operation". There's just one problem with that: in their haste to ram the bill through, the Democrats failed to include the standard separation clause. This means that if any portion of the law is found invalid, the whole thing gets thrown out, and it doesn't matter how Ruth feels about it.
What it comes down to is this: the girls and the other liberal on the court will decide to overlook the issue of Constitutionality, while the conservative justices will - as they should - render a decision based upon Constitutional grounds. The wild card is Justice Kennedy, who has solid Constitutional grounds for siding with the more conservative Justices in this decision, but doubtless also has the political aspect gnawing away at him.
One does not demean the US Supreme Court, and the author of their decision, and expect leniency when your case comes before them. They are, after all, human. And while the Socialist wing of Ginsburg et. al. may be willing to forgive the behavior of a fellow Socialist, others are unlikely to be so accommodating - especially when they know that Constitutional law favors their position.
The decision, when rendered in June, will likely result in voiding Obamacare, and over the course of the following four months, Barry and his fellow Democrats, who hooted and hollered like displaying chimpanzees at Barry's State of the Union speech, will work the decision relentlessly into a campaign for increased socialism.
How interesting: in Washington, you get to pump your own gas. In Oregon, that's against the law; an attendant must do that. People keep claiming that if we went to self-serve, we'd save oodles of money.
So today, the average price of gas is 3 cents higher in Washington than in Oregon. If it's all the same, we'll be staying in the car.
"On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it's important for him to give me space," Mr. Obama told Medvedev.
Medvedev replied, "Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you."
"This is my last election," President Obama said. "And after my election, I have more flexibility."
The Russian leader responded, "I understand. I transmit this information to Vladimir."
We all understand: if he's returned to office, he'll do whatever he wants. The executive orders and "recess appointments" of today will pale by comparison.
A new movie shoot's preparing to get underway, which will follow the life of the White House butler whose career started with Harry Truman in 1952 and ended in 1986 with Ronald Reagan.
Director Lee Daniels has cast the role of Nancy Reagan, and it's a bizarre selection.
