As mentioned previously, Barky decided to use the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as a backdrop for a 15-minute campaign speech on Memorial Day; decreeing that the entire area be closed to the public for some seven hours.
In a story the mainstream media has thus far ignored, it was "an insult to veterans that was insensitve to the point of being cruel," said a former U.S. Calvary Captain, when contacted. Additionally, in an exclusive interview, retired Army Lieutenant General John B. Sylvester spoke of the many previous years he's visited the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. to honor his fallen comrades, while re-connecting with brothers-in-arms still living, ... before visiting the graves of his Mother, Father, Sister-in-law and Brother at Arlington National Cemetery ... another tradition the Silver Star winner was deprived up this year, thanks to Barack Obama's political ambitions.
No President has ever done such a thing.
But respect has never been a big deal for the Left; they don't believe in it.
The next day, Rep. Allen West held a townhall meeting at Mae Volen senior center in Boca Raton. Naturally, so-called "protesters" showed up at the center to harass him, and some were escorted out as they couldn't contain their spittle and foam. Apparently following the q&a period, a couple of loons moved in on West, and he referred to them as his liberal groupies.
That sent one right over the top, and a couple of WWII vets interceded - whereupon she called them "obnoxious little men" and swatted one of them, telling him to "f*** off". The local police (or as Leftists call them, "storm troopers") were forced once again to get involved.
Gotta love the old lady with the cane!
