At least, their leadership does - they're pulling out of the U.N. anti-desertification treaty because of the 350,000 Loonies they were "investing", only 18% was spent on programming; the rest got sucked down by various bureaucracies.
The decision to withdraw was made last week—ironically Canada Water Week—at the recommendation of Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird. Yesterday, Baird told a Parliament Hill scrum, "We're just not interested in continuing to support bureaucracies and talkfests."
Unlike their U.S. counterparts, who are only too happy to throw money we don't have into the U.N. cesspool.
