I've maintained that for years; they're only marginally better than those god-awful Compaqs were, so naturally, government and other organizations buy them. Their latest problem:
A number of Dell users have complained that their Latitude 6430u Ultrabooks "smell of cat urine".
A lot of folks griped about their cats before they found out that people that aren't owned by cats have been having the same issue. Some simply blamed Winders 8, but that's not the source, either. Whatever, it's been not only annoying, but down right embarrassing.
Another customer, Hoteca, said: "I thought for sure one of my cats sprayed it, but there was something faulty with it so I had it replaced. The next one had the same exact issue. It's embarrassing taking it to clients because it smells so bad."
Well, good news for those dumb enough to purchase a Dell: for once, your cat isn't to blame. The problem's down to a polymer used in the plastics that form the palm rests and keyboards, and they've gone to a different formula. So the fix is really easy: all you have to do is send it off for replacement, twiddle your thumbs for a month, and they'll send your laptop back to you with all-new keyboards and palm rests.
Act now and get two replacements absolutely free - just pay extra shipping and handling. And thanks for visiting Dell Hell.
