They keep holding up places like London and other European cities as models for Portlandia, claiming "we can't build our way out of congestion, so we need to spend billions of dollars on rail that cannot, by design, accommodate more than two train cars at a time." They also insist that we need more bicycle and pedestrian paths. If they get wind of what London has in mind, Portland politicians are going to want one, too.
