Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped into the pool....
They sure know how to have a good time over in McMinnville, as some 13 folks gathered at poolside to remove a 700-pound "cow" (more likely a steer, but this is The Oregonian reporting).
Homeowner Jeff Dyck told the fire department his cow fell into a concrete, in-ground pool.
Big news, here in the Pacific Northwest, and apparently of nationwide interest as well - UPI picked up the story of the rescue effort some three hours ago. In a speech from Hawaii, President Obama stated unequivocally that "If you like your cow, you can keep your cow."
Hard to believe that a story about beef soakin' off - in the words of one commenter - can gain so much traction.
