PTSD will be recognized as a condition eligible for "treatment" under the state's Medical Marijuana law, although CRAPFART Tourret's syndrome is still off the list. You can also be fined as much as $500 for using a cell phone while driving (wink, wink).
And finally, timber companies will be able to sue "activists" who try to mess up logging operations in state forests. Not that it'll do a whole lot of good; those professional agitators aren't exactly rolling in dough to begin with - it's not like they have, you know, jobs or anything.
As mentioned earlier, the state minimum wage hikes up again, but we're still behind Washington state in the race to have the highest minimum wage in the country.
However, SeaTac's $15 minimum wage has been dumped, for the most part:
Judge Andrea Darvas' ruling on Friday said the recently-approved measure applies to about 1,600 hotel and parking lot workers in the city of SeaTac, but that the city initiative does not have authority over 4,700 employees and contractors working within Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which is operated by the Port of Seattle.
Of course, that was kind of a quirky deal anyway; there's really nothing in the "city" except hotels, parking structures, rental agencies, and gas stations. It was incorporated as a "city" by a bunch of agitators who then attempted to lay claim to the airport, as it's located in the middle of what they call their city. The ruling clarifies for them that it's not their airport; naturally, they intend to appeal. No word on whether or not their mouthpiece, Heather Weiner, is into selfies like Anthony.
