It’s been a few days since Konrad McKane lost his epic battle with the Dark Lord of Middle Earth, and he’s taking it pretty hard.
“Morgoth got the best of me,” he says from Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Beaverton, Oregon, where he is undergoing psychiatric evaluation after being arrested last week.
The latest arrest and incarceration stemmed from the fact that, mistaking a woman's car for Morgoth, he rushed into a busy SE Portland intersection and began battering her car with his trusty sword. He's due to be released back into the wild today.
His main regret seems to be that Portland police broke his sword.
There's crazy, and then there's crazy on drugs. One can only hope that he mailed in his ballot prior to the latest episode.
