I stole the picture from Curmudgeonly & Skeptical because it's a great find. The Democratics are just getting creepier now. Our autistic daughter registered as a Democratic, and a card came a week or so ago telling her to vote.
Today (fittingly, on Halloween), she got this:
Dear M,
Our records indicate that you are eligible to vote in 2014. Who you vote for is private, but whether or not you vote is public record.
(emphasis theirs)
We're sending this mailing to you and your neighbors to remind you that the election is at hand and to encourage you to do your civic duty by voting early in this election. While we have hidden the name and street number of your neighbors to promote their privacy, these are their true voting records.
It's kind of surprising that they didn't tell her to vote early and often; must've not had a good proofreader. Anyway, there's a little chart with some streets and the elections in which the neighbors voted, followed by this:
These records will be reviewed after the election to determine whether or not you joined your neighbors in voting. We may call you to ask about your voting experience and will update this chart for the next election. If you do not vote this year, while we will be disappointed, we'll be interested to hear why not.
We encourage you to vote early both so your personal opinion will be heard and so that your neighborhood will be strongly represented.
Kareepy! The Democrat Potty of Oregon sent it over, but apparently they're doing this all over the country.
It's the sort of thing that might, conceivably, backfire.
Be a real shame if anything was to, you know, happen.
