This should engender great celebrations all around, and doubtless Obama and Pelosi will give speeches celebrating their year. Obama will likely use it as a platform to showcase his recent agreement with China on "greenhouse gas emissions", in which he vowed to cut ours by another 20%, while China vowed to step up emissions.
Oh, wait - I just checked the calendar again. I seem to have mis-read. February 19 marks the start of the Chinese New Year, but it's the Year of the Sheep.
