Warmists insist - and have for years - that the 1970s global cooling scare never happened. Of course, they lie. I remember well the covers of Time magazine and others, as well as the articles they carried about scientists' claims that by now, ice would extend clear to the equator.
By the mid-1980s, the scare stories had changed:
It’s hard to imagine that just 30 years ago, government scientists were predicting that global warming would make New York City resemble Daytona Beach, Florida — which does not get snow.
In 1985, the New York Times reported that ‘[f]ederal climate experts have suggested that within a century the greenhouse effect could turn New York City into something with the climate of Daytona Beach, Fla.”
It's long past time to simply man up and admit that they don't know nearly as much as they think they do, and that so-called "climate science" has become so heavily politicized that it can't even be regarded as science any longer. They've gone from preaching about the coming Ice Age to preaching about Mann-made global warming; spinning on a dime. And of course, it's claimed to be All Your Fault.
Never mind that temperatures haven't increased in 18 years, and never mind that record lows are being set.
This isn't about climate change, it's about perversion of science for political gain.
