Proudly hosting Leftist thugs who'll cause over a million dollars in property damage in a single night if they get upset.
A Homeland Security report described the leftist thuggery as domestic terrorist violence.
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler had declared that Portland would continue to be a sanctuary city and “a welcoming, safe place for all people.”
Unless they’re Republicans.
The email that shut down the 82nd Avenue of the Roses parade made that point much more succinctly. "You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely," it warned.
That is fascism - nothing less. I can hardly wait to see what the little fascists come up with tomorrow in Portland, because...May Day! Doubtless, there will be a few posters demanding "Justice For Quanice Hayes" - a punk who committed armed robbery, multiple break-ins (all in one night) and got ventilated when he refused to comply with police commands to keep his hands where they could be seen. Instead, he kept reaching for his waistband, where thugs usually keep their weapons. It turned out that the gun he was carrying was a replica - as if that makes any difference at 2 A.M.
But, oh, the yowling and the howling! "He didn't deserve to die! What can we do about police brutality?"
Well, shutting one's trap is a good start. Quanice wasn't some kid who just made a mistake; he terrorized his armed robbery victim, did multiple other crimes, and couldn't manage to bring himself to do what police told him to do. None of those are "mistakes". Did he deserve to die? Maybe not - but he had plenty of opportunities to prevent it.
Yet many of the same idiots who'll likely be out vandalizing streets and businesses tomorrow night are big supporters of the thug. And in Portland, we've been seeing this idiocy blossom over the past three decades or so under the rule of Democratics. It appears that they share the values - or lack thereof.
