Another woman has accused Al Franken of sexual assault on a photo-op, and this one occurred in his capacity as a Senator, according to a report heard on the radio today. Yes, he'll be spending the holidays reflecting, all right.
And horndog Bill Clinton is in trouble again:
Attorneys representing the women, who are coordinating their efforts, have notified Clinton they are preparing to file four separate lawsuits against him.
Pantsuit's mad, because this can adversely impact her efforts to become relevant again. Bill's probably going to have to duck flying ashtrays for a while.
Here in Oregon:
PORTLAND — Those close to a 15-year-old boy accused of starting a wildfire by tossing fireworks along a trail in Oregon's scenic Columbia River Gorge says he is from a church-going large Ukrainian family mortified by what happened.
His mother says that "it was his mistake". Some mistake: the fire that he started along the Eagle Creek Trail covered 75 square miles, forced numerous evacuations, and shut down two highways - the I-84 freeway and highway 30.
The teen, from Vancouver, Washington, has been charged with reckless burning and other offenses in Hood River Juvenile Court.
A lot of people think that his family should be held liable for the damages, though it's unlikely that they'd be able to come up with the millions of dollars to pay for firefighting, restoration, and the economic damages suffered by the nearby city of Cascade Locks. My view is that the kid should be required to spend several years replanting trees and other vegetation in the steep terrain, along with trail restoration duty. Might instill a sense of responsibility in him.
