A district court in Frankfurt on Friday ruled that a woman who sued her neighbour for close to €4,000 in damages to her car must deal with nuts falling from trees.
Walnut trees may shed their nuts, judges in the court concluded, adding that this autumnal occurrence is “a fact of nature” and must be tolerated.
The ruling came after a woman in the financial hub had complained that her car had been damaged by nuts falling from a neighbour’s tree.
Thank goodness that's been settled! Imagine if trees were required to hold their nuts. But speaking of nuts...what about the woman who sued?
And the crazy persists even Down Under, as a bunch of "Vegans" demonstrated a couple of nights ago in Melbourne, when they invaded a steak-house and started hollering at people through bullhorns while filming their bravery. What a great way to persuade people to join the fruits and nuts coalition!
"In order to create change in our society, we must challenge current belief systems and force people to take a side - oppression or justice, cruelty or compassion," Melbourne Cow Save wrote on Facebook. "There is no humane way to kill someone who does not want to die."
Moo, moo, Buckaroo!
Nobody's forcing them to eat a steak, and with tactics like that, they're not going to force omnivores to eat nothing but plants. Vegans like these need to be "forced to take a side" themselves: what about the animals that are killed during the harvesting of crops? They should count too. So while vegans like these bask in smug as they eat their lima beans, they're killing animals and plants to feed themselves. If they were really interested in walking their talk, rather than simply being hypocritical, they'd stop eating. Problem solved!
