That's one of the better descriptions of Oregon's legislature out there. But at least in the state Senate, Democratics demonstrated that even they, when the moon and stars are properly aligned, can make sane decisions.
SALEM — A legislative referral to ask voters to amend the Constitution to make access to cost-effective and affordable health care the right of all Oregon residents lacks the votes to pass the Senate, according to Senate Democrats.
Naturally, the dorks in the House passed it on a straight party-line vote two weeks ago.
Just like was done with Obamacare.
This is the third consecutive time the Senate has blocked the referral, said Rep. Mitch Greenlick, D-Portland, who has repeatedly sponsored the measure.
That's him, and he's already vowing to try for a fourth time to get that turkey of a bill passed. They keep electing the dork, over in his east-side Porkland district. Nobody knows why, apart from the fact that he has the magic (D).
House Speaker Tina Kotek and Majority Leader Jennifer Williamson, both Democrats from Portland, described the measure primarily as "aspirational," but some legal experts said adding the right to the Constitution could spur litigation.
It's always the Democratics from Porkland. Although Tina's actually from Connecticut. She just moved here to help screw up Oregon. At least Jenny's from around here.
