Left-wing protesters have staged almost nightly riots in the city for more than three months, but now that the Proud boys plan to hold a rally in the wide open expanse of Delta Park, north of the city itself, she's decided there's some sort of emergency. Leftist rioters downtown are fine and dandy, but she can't abide right-wingers gathering in a huge park away from downtown.
“The First Amendment does not give anyone license to hurt or kill someone because of opposing political views,” Brown said. “And when free expression is fueled by hate and coupled with an intent to incite violence, then I need to do everything I can as governor to ensure the safety of Oregonians.”
Baloney.
There won't be any violence as long as the Leftists don't head to Delta, looking for trouble. That, however, is exactly what they'll do. And Katie knows it.
