CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN) — Deputies made more arrests, stopped more cars, and wrote far more crime reports than usual in parts of Clackamas County that were under Level 2 and Level 3 evacuation orders, according to data released by the sheriff’s office.
Between Sept. 8 and Sept. 21, deputies made 21 arrests in areas threatened by the wildfires, according to the sheriff’s office. Some people were arrested on multiple charges, with the most common charges being possession of methamphetamine or an outstanding warrant.
The druggies aren't about to follow evacuation orders because "Hey! Free stuff!" Well, at least they haven't been setting more fires; we really don't need to add to the smoke-load. As it is, they've made more than triple the busts than usual, thanks to residents fleeing the fires.
And in Portland, erstwhile "mayor" Ted Wheeler has screwed things up yet again:
Shootings in Portland, Oregon, nearly tripled over the summer after Mayor Ted Wheeler disbanded the city’s police gun crimes unit, according to new police data.
Meanwhile, in La-La Land:
Actress and 'Defund the police' activist Alyssa Milano was quick to call cops when she believed an armed gunman was on her Bell Canyon property on Sunday morning.
'It turned out it was a neighborhood teen with an air gun shooting at squirrels,' a resident told the DailyMail.com.
