Sorry, the Rez is closed.
WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. (AP) — The Navajo Nation on Monday will reinstate a stay-home lockdown order for the entire reservation while closing tribal offices and requiring new closures and safety measures for businesses due to rising COVID-19 cases. Much of the Navajo Nation was closed between March and August as the coronavirus swept through the vast reservation that covers parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.
The latest lockdown is expected to last for at least three weeks, although it seems unlikely to slow the viral spread.
And over in Sweden, it looks as though their whole "herd immunity" approach has proven to be a total bust:
Sweden has banned gatherings of more than 8 people as a second wave of coronavirus continues to grow. "Don't go to gyms, don't go to libraries, don't host dinners. Cancel," Swedish Prime Minister Lofven said. .... news.trust.org/item/202011161
Meanwhile, back home in China, it appears that their "patient zero" contracted the first case of Covid-19 on or around November 17. In Wuhan, unsurprisingly. They believe that it was contracted by a 55 year-old man in Hubei Province.
They got around to reporting it on December 31.

It’s truly the greatest gift of all: a $1m donation by Dolly Parton to coronavirus vaccine research supported the development of the Moderna vaccine, which shows 95% protection from the virus.
